Co-Teaching as a Vehicle to Inclusion
Thursday January 30, 2025 10:15am - 11:30am PST
Session Resources
In this session, we will explore the evolution of co-teaching within Tracy Unified School District. We’ll begin by discussing our early co-teaching efforts, highlighting the challenges and successes that laid the foundation for a more inclusive approach.

Next, we’ll examine current practices and how UDL principles have transformed our instructional methods to better support students with disabilities. The introduction of a TOSA has been crucial in providing resources and support for educators and students.

We'll also discuss revisions made to IEPs in co-taught content areas, emphasizing the alignment of these plans with priority standards to ensure all students can access a rigorous curriculum. Ongoing PD has been essential, equipping teachers with the tools needed to implement UDL effectively.

Through collaborative efforts, we’ve created an environment where all students can thrive, sharing success stories that highlight the positive impact of these initiatives. This session aims to inspire educators to embrace UDL as a pathway to inclusive learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of every learner. Join us as we share our journey to promote inclusion through innovative teaching strategies.

Sam Drazin - Connecting the Dots with UDL and the Whole Child (In person & Hybrid)
Thursday January 30, 2025 12:30pm - 1:45pm PST
There is no denying that every teacher and administrator in schools across the country has an already full plate. UDL does not need to be another thing added to the plate, rather how do we connect the dots on how UDL is a framework that is easily threaded between everything already on the plate. This thought provoking keynote will encourage us to think differently about how UDL benefits the whold child, supports enhanced teacher practices and is seamlessly integrated into all aspects of our roles as educators. Together we will be inspired, educated and motivated to rethink our concepts of how UDL can be implemented in our school buildings.
