Canceled Session: Does All mean each?-One school district's UDL implementation Journey (In person & Hybrid)
Friday January 31, 2025 8:30am - 9:45am PST
This session is not available. Does All truly mean each? This central question anchored our school district’s journey to realizing the vision of closing the opportunity gap for students with disabilities with a design to the margins approach. During this session, you will learn about the systems, structures and practices that facilitated the implementation of UDL as an instructional framework as a core design principle. Through sharing our journey, you will also learn about the challenges we experienced when historically systems have worked in favor of a majority of our students and the impetus of change in mindsets and practices is not apparent. Our use of data systems and shining the light on promising practices while also highlighting data gaps were our launch point into inclusive practices.. Leadership learning, both Principal and teacher leadership for UDL continues to be our key driver in this shift. A session focused on the why, how and what of UDL implementation in a school district - a theory to practical application approach! Whether you are new to UDL or on your way to implementation; whether you are a teacher, teacher-leader, principal or a district leader, this session is designed just for you!
