About me
Gena is a Coordinator of Makerspace Training at the Santa Clara County Office of Education with a Master of Science degree in Education Media Design and Technology. She has been an educator since 2002 and has had the roles of elementary teacher, middle school teacher, Technology Coach, Learning and Innovation Program Specialist and Ed Tech Coordinator. In her current role, she works with districts and Santa Clara County Office programs to offer professional development around makerspace learning, Universal Design for Learning, creativity, equity, inclusion, social justice and educator wellness. As a Google Certified Innovator, sketchnoter, digital lesson designer, UDL coach and maker, she believes that everyone has a unique creative voice and that it’s our job as educators to help students find it.
